Privacy Policy

The links you paste. To find a pin, board or profile we send its address to Pinterest and read what Pinterest publicly shows about it. What we learn (titles, picture and video addresses) is kept on our media server for up to six hours so your downloads work, then deleted.

Your IP address. It is used to protect the service from abuse: to limit how many requests one address can make per minute and to decide when to show a Cloudflare Turnstile check. The counters are kept for at most 24 hours. Our web servers also keep standard access logs, including IP addresses, for up to 14 days for security and troubleshooting.

Anonymous usage numbers. We count, per day, how many links were pasted, which kinds of content they were and how many files were downloaded. These totals contain no IP addresses or links.

Videos, pictures, archives and PDFs are fetched by our media server directly from Pinterest's public servers. Download links are signed and expire after about an hour; the files themselves are deleted automatically within a few hours. We do not look at, index or share what you download.

• frompin_locale — set only when you choose a language yourself, so we open the site in that language next time. Kept for one year.
• A session cookie — set when you use the form, to protect it from cross-site request forgery. It lasts until you close the browser.
• Local storage — your browser keeps the last few links you pasted so you can pick them again, and whether you dismissed the install prompt. This never leaves your device.
• Cloudflare Turnstile may set its own cookies when it shows a check.

We use no advertising cookies.

• Pinterest — the content you ask for is requested from Pinterest. We never send Pinterest anything about you; requests come from our servers or proxy providers, not from your browser.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — the occasional "are you human" check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — when enabled, it measures page visits with IP anonymisation. You can block it with any content blocker; the site works the same.

You can use FromPin.net without giving us any personal data beyond what every website receives. You can clear the language cookie and local storage in your browser at any time. If you want to ask about, correct or delete anything related to you, write to us — see Contact.

FromPin.net is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information about them.
